General Manager (Warehouse)
About The Position
The General Manager is a lead member of the management team who will oversee all warehouse duties; assist with the hiring and training of warehouse team members; and manage the organizational processes to improve the quality, productivity, and efficiency of the warehouse and team. The ideal General Manager will be dedicated to providing excellent customer service in an efficient and safe environment. The General Manager will develop key operating systems, oversee inventory management, and maintain labor expectations. This role exists within the company to create value for customers by providing excellent customer service in an efficient and safe environment through hiring and training team members on the Nellis Auction Core Values. Value creation for the company involves developing key operating systems, overseeing inventory management, and maintaining labor expectations. This role will also be in charge of creating long-term relationships with our customers.
Requirements

- Proven communication and time management skills
- Ability to be on your feet all day and work in extreme temperatures
- Ability to lift and move hundreds of items daily ranging from 10lb-50lb
- Requires a high level of physical activity
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, and stoop for extended periods (10 to 12 hour shifts).
- Occasionally climbing ladders and step stools.
- Manual dexterity to operate setup tools and equipment.
- Must be physically able to work in varying environmental conditions (hot/cold).

- 5+ years experience as a Manager

Responsibilities
- Oversee facility staffing initiatives by guiding the ops managers through the recruiting, hiring, and training of team members.
- Set directions and goals for the operations of the warehouse with strategic planning; create action plans; improve productivity, quality control, and customer service standards; troubleshoot issues.
- Work with the Leadership team to prepare annual budgets, facility targets, and process improvement initiatives.
- Develop operating systems by determining product handling procedures, storage requirements, and shipping/ receiving processes.
- Continue to improve job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, networking events, and staying current with related professional publications.
- Manage all department managers, team leads, and team members - compensation, hours, schedules, absences, etc.
- Communicate all operating policies and/or issues to appropriate managers and team members.
- Gather and review data to communicate opportunities and issues to the leadership team.
