About The Position

The General Manager/Unit Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, focusing on guest satisfaction, staff leadership, and financial performance. This role requires a strong understanding of restaurant management, including food and beverage quality, staff development, and cost control. The ideal candidate will be passionate about service, possess strong communication and leadership skills, and be able to handle unexpected situations effectively.

Requirements

Minimum 2 to 5 years as a manager in a full service restaurant
Track record of success in previous positions demonstrating upward career tracking
Strong communication skills
Customer Service focused and oriented
Financial skills with P&L and inventory management experience
Must be dependable, reliable and motivated.
With an outgoing personality and the ability to develop relationships and assist in leading others
Able to work ten hour-plus shifts, with extensive standing/walking

Nice To Haves

Previous Italian restaurant management experience a plus

Responsibilities

Customer interaction, guest experience and overall customer service
Oversee, guide and lead FOH staff including scheduling, development, and training.
Food & beverage quality and safety
Ensure that each shift is run in a smooth manner as well as having the ability to handle any unexpected problems or emergencies that may arise.
Conduct daily pre-shift meetings, staff meetings including one on one meetings
Monitor and control the maintenance/sanitation of the restaurant areas and equipment to protect the business, comply with regulations and ensure quality service.
Ability to be on feet during entire shift, interacting with guests, kitchen, bar and table touching all areas
Focus on labor cost, controllable costs, increasing revenue
Working with management team to develop, create and implement new promotions, daily programs and marketing ideas to increase business volumes
