About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a General Manager for its operations at Bethany Home in Ripon, CA. The General Manager will report directly to the District Manager and will oversee all food service operations. Bethany is a remarkable, Christian, faith-based senior living community, where everyone welcomes one another. Bethany offers four unique independent living neighborhoods from cozy one-bedroom apartments to spacious two-bedroom cottage homes.

Requirements

Passion for high level customer service and culinary arts, with a strong culinary production background, ideally in a healthcare or retail setting
Background in seniors or healthcare
Able to develop trust and build strong client relationships while meeting the expectation of the client as well as Sodexo
Demonstrated experience managing a culinary team and exceptional human resource skillset
Hands-on, and have an innovative leadership approach to management
Able to work independently and make sound business decisions within company guidelines
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Possess strong financial acumen and experience managing a food service operations budget
Experts in compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards
Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 3 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years

Responsibilities

Have oversight of day-to-day dining and culinary operations
Control and ensure company and client financial targets and goals are achieved
Ensure that the highest possible standards of food handling and preparation are achieved
Provide technical training and expertise, coaching and leadership to the production team while working side by side in the operation as needed
