About The Position

Overall responsibility for the performance & strategic direction of the business, driving a high-performing One Arch culture while maintaining full P&L accountability. This role leads all aspects of operations, including Safety, Production, Maintenance, Quality & Regulatory Assurance, Engineering, Human Resources, & Supply Chain, while developing & executing business strategies that deliver operational excellence, financial results, workforce engagement, & continuous improvement. Drives Sales & Business Development to support growth, strengthen customer relationships, & achieve strategic business objectives.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent related experience.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing & commercial experience with progressive levels of management responsibility in the medical device industry, preferably with precision machined products.
  • Proven track record for delivering strategic results & executing effective change management.
  • Well-developed leadership & project management capabilities with demonstrated success in completing core-business & cross-functional projects is required.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of the P&L is required, including planning/budgeting experience, line management responsibility, & supervision of senior managers responsible for multiple functional areas of a business.
  • Confidence to act with a sense of urgency & to act decisively, particularly with respect to making difficult decisions.
  • Successful customer interaction experience at all levels (purchasing/buyers, purchasing management, engineers, mid-level & senior management) in a high-touch customer service & support environment.
  • Exposure to organization building in a growth/expansion phase, instituting controls & procedures, operations, new business development, customer relationship management & management information systems.
  • Ability to bridge business objectives to the day-to-day operations in a way that creates engaged employees & an environment of continuous improvement & operational success.
  • Unusually strong commitment to customer service & support – total dedication to balanced partnering with customers to foster their success.

  • Ability to calculate figures & amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, & volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra & geometry.
  • Superior analytical & problem solving skills.
  • There will be the necessity to define problems, collect data, establish facts & draw valid conclusions.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands fingers & eyes; reach with hands & arms; & talk & hear up to 95% of the day.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, & reach with hands & arms.
  • The employee must occasionally lift &/or move up to 10 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) a strong plus.
  • Experience implementing Lean Principles in a manufacturing setting is strongly preferred.
  • ERP systems knowledge is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, & develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, & continuous improvement.
  • Define & execute the strategic long range plan while also identifying & supporting short & mid term objectives.
  • Drive the financial planning, management reporting & annual budgeting process. Meet or exceed budget for revenue, gross margin, operating expenses & sales.
  • Oversee operations to ensure sales goals, customer requirements, & quality expectations are met or exceeded. Develop & monitor key performance indicators & develop action plans to address performance gaps.
  • Develop & execute comprehensive sales plans & programs to support sales, revenue growth & profitability goals for the business.
  • Oversee the implementation & sustainment of Lean manufacturing methodologies, including 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Visual Management, Root Cause Analysis, & Daily Management systems. Establish metrics & accountability systems to ensure continuous improvement initiatives deliver measurable business results.
  • Drive operating performance through process improvement & other Operational Excellence (OE) initiatives in collaboration with corporate resources.
  • Maintain culture which supports disciplined & systematic process management, has data driven decision making & where continuous improvement is aligned with established strategy & objectives.
  • Assist Divisional President in establishing & executing strategic & growth objectives.
  • Support the creation of new customer relationships & accounts while preserving high customer service levels with existing base.
  • Lead the talent management practices within the location. This includes, but is not limited to learning & development, performance management, & succession planning.
  • Set pricing of standard off-the-shelf products.
  • Monitor & optimize website sales channels to drive online conversion & revenue growth.
  • Develop a culture where employees are encouraged to challenge the status quo & contribute ideas for improvement.
  • Take a hands-on approach with the ability to recognize potential production, supply chain, regulatory and quality problems on the BU floor before they occur.
  • Ensure compliance with all quality, safety, regulatory, & company requirements while promoting a safety-first culture.
