About The Position

Hands-on manufacturing leader responsible for driving a high-performing One Arch culture built on safety, quality, accountability, teamwork, & continuous improvement. This role provides leadership for Safety, Production, Engineering, & Quality while ensuring the efficient execution of production schedules, facility operations, & customer requirements. Fosters an environment of coaching & develops employees, driving operational performance, & championing a quality-first mindset that delivers exceptional results for customers & the business.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent related experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in progressive supervisory roles in a manufacturing environment; strong preference for medical device industry, preferably with precision machined products.
  • Minimum 5 years of CNC experience with lathes & mills.
  • Proven track record for delivering strategic results & executing effective change management.
  • Well-developed leadership & project management capabilities with demonstrated success in completing core-business & cross-functional projects is required.
  • Has confidence to act with a sense of urgency & to act decisively, particularly with respect to making difficult decisions.
  • Foundational knowledge of the P&L is required, including planning/budgeting experience & line management responsibility.
  • Ability to tie day-to-day operations to overall business objectives in a way that creates engaged employees & an environment of continuous improvement & operational success.
  • Successful customer interaction experience at all levels (purchasing/buyers, purchasing management, engineers, mid-level & senior management) in a high-touch customer service & support environment.
  • Exposure to organization building in a growth/expansion phase, instituting controls & procedures, operations, new business development, customer relationship management & management information systems.
  • Unusually strong commitment to customer service & support – total dedication to balanced partnering with customers to foster their success.
  • High degree of initiative – a high energy level & work ethic & a high sense of urgency as needed; a “can-do” attitude.
  • Ability to provide decisive leadership & team facilitation in the face of adversity for escalated topics is required, including identifying root cause, action plan required, coordinating resources, & executing a go-forward plan to successful resolution.
  • Strong track record of developing leaders & building accountable, high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams while handling multiple programs simultaneously.
  • Proven success operating in a high ambiguity environment.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability & statistical inference, & fundamentals of plane & solid geometry & trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, & proportions to practical situations.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Foundational knowledge of Lean Principles is strongly preferred.
  • ERP systems knowledge is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, & develop a high-performing manufacturing team while fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, & continuous improvement.
  • Direct daily manufacturing operations to ensure achievement of production, quality, delivery, cost, & safety objectives.
  • Establish, monitor & drive key performance indicators; develop action plans to address performance gaps.
  • Oversee production planning, scheduling, inventory management, warehousing, & on-time customer delivery.
  • Optimize the utilization of labor, equipment, materials, & facility resources to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Drive the implementation & sustainment of Lean manufacturing methodologies, including 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Visual Management, Root Cause Analysis, & Daily Management systems. Establish metrics & accountability systems to ensure continuous improvement initiatives to deliver measurable business results.
  • Develop & execute capacity, staffing, & facility plans to support business growth & customer demands.
  • Support & assist: Development of the job planning process/schedules, Developing strategies & plans for facility capacity to meet growth, Development & implementation of facility & equipment maintenance programs, Contract review process requirements.
  • Actively support annual business planning, budgeting, & strategic initiatives to achieve company objectives.
  • Lead the talent management practices within the team. This includes, but is not limited to learning & development, performance management, & succession planning.
  • Develop a culture where employees are encouraged to challenge the status quo & contribute ideas for improvement.
  • Maintain a culture which supports disciplined & systematic process management, has data driven decision making & where continuous improvement is aligned with established strategy & objectives.
  • Oversee quality management systems, inspection activities, nonconforming material processes, corrective actions, & customer complaint resolution.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, & other functions to improve productivity, reduce waste, & enhance operational performance.
  • Manage facility & equipment maintenance programs to ensure reliable, safe, & efficient operations.
  • Lead & participate in cross-functional projects that improve manufacturing processes, support new product introductions, & drive sustainable business results.
  • Ensure compliance with all quality, safety, regulatory, & company requirements while promoting a safety-first culture.
