Cogir Senior Living manages retirement residences across the country, offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care. The Executive Director will oversee the general management of a retirement residence, delivering a superior "More Living" experience to residents. Requirements

Minimum of five (5) years management experience, preferably in the seniors living industry, hotel, or hospitality-related industry.
Experience managing a multidisciplinary team in a unionized environment.
Ability to work flexible hours (evenings and weekends as required).
Strong understanding of business planning and processes.
Proven track record of achieving marketing, sales, and financial goals.
Must provide a complete and current Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) within the last six months or be willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Ensure exceptional service and resident care through expertise in recruiting, training, and mentoring.
Efficiently manage all department operations, ensuring smooth functioning, strict compliance with collective agreements, and optimized fiscal resource allocation.
Implement and maintain policies to uphold industry standards and regulations while achieving financial targets with maximum operational efficiency.
Create a focus on sales and occupancy, ensuring the team collaborates to meet and exceed occupancy targets.
Actively promote the residence within the local market, ensuring a multi-pronged approach that showcases the residence as the top choice in retirement living.
Set and monitor targets for employee engagement, resident satisfaction, audits, occupancy rates, and net operating profit.
Build strong relationships with employees, residents, and their families, fostering open communication and continuous improvement.
Seek feedback from stakeholders to identify areas for enhancement and implement strategies to achieve goals.
Maintain positive relationships with regional teams, external vendors, and regulatory bodies.
