About The Position

The General Manager is responsible for day-to-day property management services, relating to a portfolio of on-campus and/or off-campus research laboratory buildings. The General Manager is responsible for implementing financial, operational and leasing initiatives in accordance with policies and budgets and in collaboration with Lillibridge leadership, Asset Management, and staff, to achieve Company strategy and goals. The General Manager is the leader in their respective market and is therefore responsible for understanding the overall real estate market / sub-market conditions and how they affect the portfolio. This role plays a key part in maintaining the reliability and performance of our buildings, creating safe, functional environments for tenants, clients, and patients.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Minimum of 6-12 years of hands-on, day-to-day life science and/or commercial office property management experience
  • Must be located in Baltimore, MD area
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without need for employer sponsorship now or in the future

Nice To Haves

  • CPM and/or RPA designation a plus
  • Certifications – Real Estate License as required by state law (depending on state)

Responsibilities

  • Lead all financial responsibilities as defined by the Company; including, but not limited to: Annual budgeting and reporting, Quarterly reforecasting and capital planning, Monthly financial reporting, Monthly accounts receivable reporting
  • Recruit, train, and manage the performance of all management, administrative, and maintenance employees.
  • Understand the overall real estate market and sub-market drivers affecting the managed portfolio
  • Administer leases by delivering on Company obligations and holding lessees accountable for their obligations
  • Manage capital investments, including tenant and building improvements
  • Negotiate and manage the performance of vendor contracts
  • Achieve and maintain high levels of customer / client satisfaction
  • Acquire and/or maintain professional license(s) as required by the Company
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned
