About The Position

This position is responsible for the total operation of the assigned business area, ensuring the efficient and safe manufacturing of quality products in a manner consistent with company policies and procedures. This includes providing supervisors with information, materials, and training to enable them to produce the highest quality product possible. The role involves monitoring records for attendance, payroll, production, safety, and ergonomics, TQM, and promoting new ideas and encouraging their development from Team Members. Other responsibilities include overseeing the daily operation of their assigned area, analyzing non-routine problems, and offering recommendations for solutions to the Plant Manager. The position ensures compliance with USDA, Federal and State Regulations and maintains the entire operation of their assigned area, including safety, production yields, quality, Team Member relations, turnover and absenteeism, discipline, payroll, staffing, and line speeds.

Requirements

  • Education beyond high school including special training, vocational school, and/or college courses, or equivalent experience.
  • 3 plus years general knowledge of production techniques, procedures, product yields and quality, and USDA and OSHA regulations.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • As required travel.
  • Supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
