About The Position

This position assists with the overall management of maintenance operations. The General Manager Maintenance will manage maintenance supervisors, oversee all designated shift operations while complying with USDA and OSHA requirements and company policies. This role involves determining manpower needs, making recommendations, and assisting with controlling expenses. The position requires preparing and maintaining records and reports to ensure they accurately reflect conditions, and working with department heads to meet production, quality, and yield goals. Responsibilities also include inspecting and maintaining competence in housekeeping, safety, sanitation, and security, as well as interviewing, hiring, and training team members. The role involves planning, assigning, directing, and monitoring work; appraising work performance; rewarding, coaching, counseling, and disciplining team members; and addressing complaints and resolving issues.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of related industry experience
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience preferably in a meat processing facility
  • Knowledge of OSHA USDA and HACCP regulations
  • Standard computer skills (MS Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
