About The Position

Taste Buds Kitchen is opening in Smithtown, NY, and is seeking a General Manager & Lead Culinary Instructor to lead its success. This role involves teaching hands-on cooking classes, managing daily operations and staff, and creating an exceptional client experience in a fun, state-of-the-art Kitchen Studio. The position offers the opportunity to build a supportive community by interacting with clients daily.

Requirements

Proficient with a range of cooking techniques.
Great leader capable of recruiting and training staff as well as managing and maintaining a motivated team.
Experience working with people of all ages.
Experience working in an events business.
1-3 years experience in a management position.
Strong customer service skills.
Must enjoy the atmosphere of a small business.

Nice To Haves

Formal culinary education or equivalent experience a plus.
A business or management degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

Instruct cooking classes, camps, and parties for ages 2-99, engaging guests with various cooking/baking skills and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Ensure all clients have a great experience through excellent customer service.
Assist in or be responsible for hiring, training, managing, scheduling, and developing the employee team, and act as an emergency substitute.
Ensure company policies, systems, and local laws are followed, and that classes, staff, and facilities meet Taste Buds Kitchen standards, while improving systems for efficiency.
Assist in responding to sales inquiries and bookings to meet sales goals.
Maintain high cleanliness and branding standards in the kitchen facility.
