After-School Cooking Teacher
About The Position
Join LIFT Enrichment as a Chef Teacher and teach healthy culinary workshops in Title I school districts. LIFT Enrichment has taught over 75,000 students since 2010 and is looking for passionate individuals to join their team of over 200 Chef Teachers. This role offers rewarding work by helping students in Title 1 school districts learn essential life skills. Compensation includes pay for grocery shopping, prep, teaching, and cleanup. A single workshop is approximately 3.5 hours of pay, and a double workshop is approximately 5 hours of pay. Perks include paid training and mileage reimbursement. This is a seasonal/part-time employment opportunity, suitable for retired teachers or college students.
Requirements
- Availability between 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday, 2-3 days per week.
- Experience working with children (e.g., summer camp counselor, retired teacher).
- Cooking experience (e.g., basic meals; no formal or professional chef experience required).
- Reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Teach healthy culinary workshops in Title I school districts.
- Lead groups of 15–20 students.
- Transport provided culinary kits.
- Teach recipes from the provided curriculum.
- Perform grocery shopping, prep, teaching, and cleanup.
