About The Position

This position exists to (1) oversee the local functioning of corporate operational systems; (2) develop and expand the revenue performance and business potential of the hospice; (3) responsible for the patient and family services program at the hospice; (4) to represent the company in the community.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years previous managerial experience
  • Previous healthcare sales management
  • Working knowledge of budget development, financial profit/loss process, and human resources.
  • Ability to relate to superiors, peers, and subordinates
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the Local Functioning of Corporate Operational Systems: Implementing company systems, policies, and standards to ensure the hospice meets and exceeds regulatory requirements, and is prepared for inspections and surveys. This includes maintaining knowledge of Medicare Conditions of Participation, coordinating with corporate staff for survey readiness, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Developing and Expanding Revenue Performance: Utilizing negotiating skills for contractual agreements, developing relationships with healthcare organizations, managing contract implementation, and overseeing financial functions including profit and loss statements, accounts receivables, collections, and local accounts payable. This also involves developing and maintaining relationships with physicians, educating them about hospice needs, and resolving issues to improve patient care services. Supervising the admissions function and day-to-day operations using business intelligence tools.
  • Responsible for the Patient and Family Services Program at the Hospice: Having overall responsibility for clinical services in various settings, including program staffing levels, patient experience, and employee recruitment, retention, and engagement. Also responsible for the overall management of the Volunteer Program and ensuring compliance with work plans. Overseeing program CAHPS performance to ensure quality patient experience.
  • Representing the Company in the Community: Serving as the official spokesperson, managing public relations, coordinating media requests, responding to social media comments, and handling complaints from patients, families, and the public.
