About The Position

Allstate Sprinkler LLC, a member of Guardian Fire Protection Services, is seeking an experienced operator and business leader to serve as General Manager for its fire protection services in the greater New York City market. This role is responsible for the overall performance, growth, and long-term success of Allstate Sprinkler. The General Manager will lead the continued evolution of the company as part of the Guardian platform, preserving its local reputation while implementing scalable operating disciplines and technology. This is a highly visible leadership position requiring strong team development, decisive operational decision-making, and consistent delivery of financial and customer outcomes in a fast-paced service environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience with at least 5 years leading branch, district, or business-unit operations.
  • Fire protection, mechanical services, construction services, security, or field service experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex operations and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong financial acumen including P&L ownership, forecasting, job costing, and KPI management.
  • Experience leading growth, transformation, integration, or operational scaling initiatives.
  • Executive presence and ability to influence customers, employees, regulators, and senior leadership.

  • Familiarity with field service management and CRM platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own annual operating plans, forecasts, budgets, and KPI execution.
  • Drive organic growth through customer expansion, service penetration, and market development.
  • Represent Allstate externally and contribute to Guardian strategic initiatives.
  • Lead all day-to-day branch operations.
  • Establish operating rhythms, forecasting, KPI reviews, and accountability mechanisms.
  • Improve deficiency conversion to repair and project opportunities.
  • Drive scheduling, dispatch, documentation quality, productivity, and backlog execution.
  • Maintain full P&L ownership.
  • Drive pricing discipline, margin expansion, and contract profitability.
  • Improve working capital through billing, collections, WIP, and backlog management.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA, OSHA, FDNY, NYC, DOT, and AHJ requirements.
  • Maintain technician licensing, certifications, and service quality.
  • Build and retain high-performing teams.
  • Foster accountability, ownership, collaboration, and safety.
  • Maintain strategic customer relationships and act as executive escalation point.
  • Lead thoughtful integration of systems, reporting, and operational standards while preserving customer relationships and local identity.
