About The Position

We are seeking an experienced, driven, and highly capable General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of an established and growing commercial roofing company. This is a high-level leadership position for someone who can take responsibility for the overall operation of the business, lead a team, make sound decisions, and ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, profitably, and to the highest standards. The ideal candidate is an experienced commercial roofing or construction professional with strong leadership skills, business sense, and the ability to operate independently.

Requirements

  • Proven management experience in commercial roofing or commercial construction
  • Strong understanding of roofing production and project management
  • Experience with job costing, budgets, and profitability
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily company operations and field production
  • Manage project managers, supervisors, foremen, and crews
  • Coordinate scheduling, manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
  • Monitor job costs, production, margins, and overall profitability
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and according to specifications
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, manufacturers, and subcontractors
  • Recruit, train, develop, and hold employees accountable
  • Establish and improve operational systems and processes
  • Identify problems quickly and implement effective solutions
  • Review project and company performance and take corrective action when needed
  • Help develop and execute company goals and growth strategies
  • Maintain a strong culture of accountability, professionalism, safety, and customer service
  • Work directly with ownership on major operational and strategic decisions
