About The Position

Lead Culinary Excellence in Healthcare. Join Sodexo as a Chef Manager and make a meaningful impact on patient care through exceptional food quality, innovative culinary programs, and operational leadership. Sodexo is seeking an experienced and innovative Chef Manager to lead culinary operations at NYC Health + Hospitals/Gouverneur, a comprehensive healthcare facility located in Lower Manhattan. Gouverneur Healthcare Services is part of a dynamic and respected health system and includes a 295-bed skilled nursing facility serving a diverse patient population. This unique opportunity is ideal for a hands-on culinary leader who thrives in a healthcare environment and enjoys building strong teams. Reporting to senior leadership, the Chef Manager will oversee daily kitchen operations, food production, menu execution, inventory management, and employee engagement while ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will lead a team of approximately 10–20 union employees, including 6 cooks and service aides, and will work alongside a strong management team within a larger healthcare system. Long-term care experience is preferred. Conveniently located in Lower Manhattan, the facility offers easy access to public transportation.
