About The Position

General Manager/Chef Manager - Englewood Cliffs, NJ Sodexo is seeking a dynamic General Manager/Chef Manager to lead our food service operations for a premier corporate services client in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. This is a unique, one-man-team role that requires a self-motivated leader to own the daily operations and ensure a high-quality experience for our client’s workforce. Reporting to the District Manager, you will be responsible for managing a micromarket solution for our client. Your primary schedule will be Monday through Friday, ensuring the site is stocked, maintained, and meeting Sodexo’s standards of excellence.

Requirements

A diverse culinary background in both retail and cafeteria-style dining to drive operational excellence.
Maintains the highest service standards by consistently implementing company policies and safety protocols.
Demonstrates exceptional leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and inspire large teams.
Navigates high-pressure environments with a proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.

Drives team performance by balancing technical culinary expertise with strong organizational leadership.
Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
2 years Minimum Management Experience
2 years Minimum Functional Experience

Responsibilities

Direct daily food operations by implementing rigorous production planning and standardized controls.
Execute hands-on cooking and meal preparation whenever necessary to support the client's workforce.
Enforce all Sodexo culinary standards to ensure strict recipe compliance and superior food quality.
