About The Position

SodexoMagic is seeking an Airport Lounge General Manager for a prestigious airport lounge at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). Our airport lounges are dedicated spaces for passengers to relax and rejuvenate while awaiting their next adventure. SodexoMagic is the joint venture partnership between NBA Hall of Famer, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, and Sodexo. As a certified minority company, we deliver food, facilities management and integrated services to corporations, healthcare facilities, K-12 schools, colleges and universities and aviation lounges. This strategic alliance between Magic Johnson Enterprises and Sodexo, Inc., enables us to deliver creative solutions to our clients along with our local partners throughout the communities we serve.

Requirements

Proven food and beverage management within hotels, restaurants or other upscale dining venues
Work history demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization
Ability to direct and lead large teams
Ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and exhibit a passion for a high-level of customer service
Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
Working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems as well as menu graphics programs
Experience in financials, preparation and oversight
Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience – 5 years
Minimum Functional Experience – 5 years

Responsibilities

Have oversight of daily food operations and deliver a high-quality product
Achieve company and client financial targets and goals
Develop and maintain client and customer relationships
Motivate, coach, mentor and develop frontline (hourly) staff
Ensure Sodexo standards are met to include compliance with company food and physical safety programs
Be fully versed in Profit and Loss, inventory and fiscal responsibilities of operating a stand alone business
