About The Position
Sodexo Live!'s Airport Lounge Segment has an opening for an Airport Lounge General Manager for the exclusive and ultra-premium joint lounges at John F. Kennedy International Airport (British Airways/American Airlines). Our airport lounges are dedicated spaces for passengers to relax and rejuvenate while awaiting their next adventure. SodexoMagic is the joint venture partnership between NBA Hall of Famer, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, and Sodexo. As a certified minority company, we deliver food, facilities management and integrated services to corporations, healthcare facilities, K-12 schools, colleges and universities and airport lounges. This strategic alliance between Magic Johnson Enterprises and Sodexo, Inc, enables us to deliver creative solutions to our clients along with our local partners throughout the communities we serve.
Requirements
- Prior food and beverage leadership experience within luxury, premium or upscale dining operations
- A focus on high-end, strategic food and beverage programs, financials/budgets and cost controls for multiple lounge locations
- A work history demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization
- Possess the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and exhibit a passion for a high level of customer service
- Exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems as well as menu graphics programs
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 5 years minimum management experience
- 5 years minimum functional experience
Responsibilities
- Have oversight of daily food operations and deliver a high-quality product
- Achieve company and client financial targets and goals
- Develop and maintain client and customer relationships
- Motivate, coach, mentor and develop frontline (hourly) staff
- Ensure Sodexo standards are met to include compliance with company food and physical safety programs
