About The Position

The General Management Development Program is a full-time, dynamic, 3-year rotational program designed to develop individuals entering the management field into future leaders. The program provides you with exposure across CVS Health's core businesses and offers meaningful rotations with a focus on business and leadership skills. Participants will complete three 13-month rotations across multiple enterprise functions with exposure to senior leadership in each operating division. As a program participant, you will progress through GMDP rotations following a developmental plan to achieve key capabilities.

Requirements

  • Meet educational requirements (see education section)
  • Follow a hybrid work-model at one of our company hub locations; Specific location will be assigned based on preference and business need after acceptance
  • Demonstrated leadership experience; Examples include active roles in student or social organization activities, or sports
  • Project management experience; Examples include leading a school or work-related project from start to finish
  • Be outcomes-focused and a collaborative team member
  • Exhibit excellence in academic performance
  • Intention to see the GMDP through to completion (complete all 3 rotations and all required curriculum)
  • Must have successfully completed corporate internship program

Nice To Haves

  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role. This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.

Responsibilities

  • Build Strategic Consulting, Healthcare Analytics, and Project Management skills
  • Achieve milestones related to each rotation
  • Be a resource for other colleagues; responsible for portions of projects or lead projects with limited risks and resource requirements
  • Help identify gaps, recommend, and implement new and more useful ways to approach and improve products, processes and service using business segment and function knowledge
  • Contribute to business plans
  • Advocate for change
  • May solicit and evaluate customer feedback to enhance continuous improvement
  • Develop recommendations based on complex data and root cause analysis
  • Improve proficiency on General Manager competencies including Business Acumen, Emotional Intelligence, Inclusiveness, Managing Projects & People, Influencing, Navigating Change, Strategic Thinking, and Storytelling
  • Gain valuable work experience and participate in leadership development activities, workshops, and training sessions
  • Engage in self-assessment and receive feedback
  • Develop key leadership skills such as communication, problem-solving and decision-making
  • Collaborate with mentors
  • Participate in team projects
  • Demonstrate a commitment to personal and professional growth to enhance their leadership capabilities
  • Contribute effectively to the organization
