Requirements

  • Live our Extraordinary Impressions Values.
  • High school education.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
  • One year maintenance experience is necessary.
  • Be passionate for providing the best care for the residents we serve.
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced, changing work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical Schooling and/or background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs general maintenance duties, such as: fixing wall covers, floor covers and some furniture and fixtures; light plumbing work, minor electrical repair and appliance repairs.
  • Performs painting and refurbishing projects, as directed by supervisor.
  • Performs routine preventive maintenance, as directed by supervisor.
  • Performs minor building and equipment repairs.
  • Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by supervisor.
  • Assists, during winter, with snow removal efforts.
  • Does routine maintenance on all vehicles when assigned.
  • Maintains all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition.
  • When qualified, assists the Director of Plant and/or performs work on the heating and air conditioning systems, domestic water systems, refrigeration systems, pumps, motors, fans, electrical systems and emergency generators.
  • Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
