About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to help maintain the physical school plant in a condition of operating excellence so that full educational use of it may be made at all times.

Requirements

• Texas Operator’s License
• Have knowledge and ability to perform in all trades
• Physically able to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to follow instruction, written or oral
• Ability to comprehend verbal and written English

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility to make minor repairs of any nature in the facilities owned and operated by the district including electrical, plumbing, painting, and/or general maintenance.
• Perform repair and/or new work as requested on approved work order request.
• Recognize when a specialized trade is needed to solve problems.
• Examine district-owned facilities on a regular basis.
• Take all safety precautions related to all trades and report to Maintenance Supervisor any hazardous situations.
• May be required to work night shift.
• May be assigned to work order crew, night PM crew, or locker repair.
• Available to work after-hours call-outs and weekends.
