About The Position

Tessera is seeking a reliable, hard-working General Maintenance Worker with a helpful attitude to maintain buildings, grounds, and equipment at Fort Riley, Kansas. The worker assists skilled employees with electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and masonry tasks; communicates with customers, supervisors, and schedulers about customer needs, repair status, completion estimates, and materials; and ensures completed work meets quality-control standards. The role follows all safety procedures and policies and may involve diagnosing problems and recommending repairs. This is a non-exempt, full-time, day-shift position. The work may occur in varied environments, including at heights and occasionally in adverse weather. The position requires extended periods of physical labor and the ability to meet the listed physical demands, with reasonable accommodation considered case by case. Employees must hold a valid state driver's license and be eligible for Tessera insurance coverage. Access to the federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant license or an acceptable alternative, and employees must obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted. Under the government contract, employees must be legal U.S. residents and able to communicate clearly in English.

Requirements

Able to work effectively under pressure for extended periods.
Valid state driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
Must obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access; installation access requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or acceptable alternative.
Must be a legal U.S. resident and able to communicate clearly in English.
Background check and E-Verify are required.
