About The Position

The Massachusetts Port Authority is seeking a reliable and adaptable General Maintenance/Utility worker to join their Real Estate and Asset Management (REAM) team. This role is crucial for maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and security of maritime properties. The REAM team manages a diverse portfolio of commercial and maritime assets, playing a vital role in the region's economy and infrastructure. Requirements

  • 1-3 years’ experience driving heavy equipment.
  • Current and valid CDL Class B.
  • Current and valid Massachusetts Hoisting License 1C/2B.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain light and heavy equipment to clean and maintain Maritime properties, including snow and debris removal.
  • Perform landscaping tasks such as cutting grass, pruning shrubs, and maintaining outdoor areas to ensure a safe and clean environment.
  • Conduct minor building repairs, plumbing maintenance, and inspections of pumps, drains, and sewer systems to keep facilities functional.
  • Inspect and maintain parking meters and signage, collect revenue, and complete logs and reports as required.
