About The Position

The General Maintenance Technician performs a variety of tasks assigned by the Foreman. These tasks may include assisting with extra workload and various supporting tasks within the Data Center. Non-Critical Infrastructure Preventive Maintenance activities including, but not limited to, the following: Door hardware repair/replacement, Painting, Drywall repair, Ceiling and Carpet tile replacement, Vehicle maintenance (Skid steer, forklifts, pallet jacks etc.), Installation of various non-critical hardware (Signs, guardrails, shelves, etc), Material movement, Roll-up door and dock-lock repairs, Replenish spill kit materials, Basic infrastructure repairs. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional time management skills and the ability to prioritize work in a fluid environment
  • Embraces a team-based mentality by building positive morale and team spirit, supporting teammates efforts to succeed, and recognizing teammates accomplishments
  • Able to function effectively and maintain focus in high-pressure situations

  • Ability to pick-up minimum 60 lbs.

  • Ability to smell, talk and hear
  • Ability to use hands and arms to reach, handle, feel, and type
  • Ability to see at close and distance ranges and the ability to see and correctly distinguish color
