About The Position
Join an experienced facility maintenance team as a General Maintenance Technician III at our Greenville, SC site. In this advanced maintenance position, you will help keep critical building and utility systems running at peak performance, working with a variety of mechanical, plumbing, and utility equipment. This is a hands-on, growth-oriented opportunity with the potential to become a permanent hire.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of hands-on mechanical maintenance and plumbing experience
- Skilled in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical building systems (plumbing, boilers, pumps, compressors, air handling units, exhaust systems)
- Proficient in reading repair manuals and drawings
- Familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and follow-up skills
- Valid Driver’s License; ability to pass pre-employment substance abuse screening
- US Citizenship required for facility security credentials
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s degree or technical certification in Industrial Technology or related field
- Pipefitting experience
- CCCDI license or ability to obtain within one year
Responsibilities
- Respond to and resolve work orders for facility and utility equipment maintenance
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and plumbing systems (pumps, piping, valves, fans, heat exchangers, motors, etc.)
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal operation of industrial/commercial building systems
- Plumb and fit various pipes (PVC, copper, black iron, threaded, etc.)
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety protocols, SOPs, and work instructions
- Deliver excellent customer service while working independently or as a team
- Accurately document maintenance activities and communicate effectively with staff
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized work environment
