About The Position

The General Maintenance Technician I performs maintenance service and repairs at our resort ensuring that all facilities and villas are maintained to the highest standards. This role includes performing routine inspections, addressing maintenance requests, and executing repairs to enhance the guest experience and maintain safety. Success in this position requires upholding high-quality standards for both interior and exterior spaces through daily inspections, skilled use of basic to intermediate hand tools, and a thorough understanding of dispatching systems. The GMT I will proactively identify and address repair needs to keep all assets fully functional and visually well-maintained. Additionally, they will respond to guest requests promptly, demonstrating a customer-focused approach. For larger repairs or when additional resources are required, they will collaborate and communicate with leadership to ensure efficient and effective completion.

Must have a valid driver's license

Responsibilities

Performs basic routine maintenance and preventative maintenance on plumbing fixtures, windows, doors, lighting, and other assets within the property.
Performs corrective maintenance in response to guest and staff calls.
Helps to maintain a clean and safe worksite by removing debris, reporting cleanliness issues to the proper team, and preparing for inclement weather events.
Adhere to all company, Brand, Safety, OSHA, and compliance standards and regulations, including the completion of company training and the training of fellow teammates, as assigned by the leader.
