About The Position

Join JLL as a General Maintenance Technician and put your hands-on expertise to work maintaining critical building systems. This role is perfect for experienced maintenance professionals who excel at troubleshooting HVAC equipment, electrical systems, and plumbing issues. You'll be the go-to problem solver for our client's facility, using your technical skills and practical knowledge to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in building maintenance or facilities operations
  • Proven experience with HVAC equipment including air handling units, rooftop units, and vent hoods
  • Electrical troubleshooting skills with ability to use a multimeter for diagnostics
  • Plumbing maintenance experience including faucet and toilet repairs, and drain clearing
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and building management systems
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks including climbing, stooping, and reaching
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

  • Experience with fire life safety systems
  • Familiarity with Maximo CMMS or similar maintenance management software
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Self-motivated team player with a proactive approach to maintenance
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs on air handling units, rooftop units, and vent hoods
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems using multimeters and other diagnostic tools
  • Handle plumbing repairs including faucets, toilets, and clearing stopped-up drains
  • Monitor building management systems and respond to service requests promptly
  • Execute preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire life safety systems
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide after-hours support when needed
  • Update and maintain Maximo CMMS documentation for all maintenance activities
  • Coordinate with building personnel and vendors to resolve issues efficiently
  • Maintain parts inventory and ensure proper documentation of all work performed.
