About The Position

Right in the heart of State College, PA you will find the newest entertainment destination. Happy Valley Casino has taken over in The Nittany Mall, bringing the area's first-ever gaming facility! With two dining options, cocktail service, 30+ table games, and over 600 slot machines, we are sure to be the number one entertainment destination in Happy Valley! We are looking for a skilled General Maintenance Tech to join our Facilities team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the property, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for our guests and team members. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with experience across multiple trades, a strong commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced entertainment environment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of three (3) years of maintenance, facilities, or skilled trades experience.
Valid driver's license required.
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
Ability to lift and carry up to 85 pounds on an occasional basis.
Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding safely and effectively.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures.
Flexibility to work a varied schedule based on business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

Performing general maintenance and repairs involving plumbing, basic electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
Assisting with building and grounds maintenance, including snow removal and exterior upkeep.
Safely and properly operating hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
Supporting casino and special event operations by maintaining and assisting with related equipment and facility needs.
Completing and submitting work request forms accurately and in a timely manner.
Assisting other maintenance trades and departments as needed.
Following established safe work practices and wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Helping ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, regulations, and OSHA standards.
Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Performing other duties and special projects as assigned.
