About The Position
The YMCA of Middle Tennessee's Camp Widjiwagan is Now Hiring for a General Maintenance Tech, Camp Widjiwagan - Full-time. The General Maintenance Tech will help keep the YMCA running safely, smoothly, and welcoming for everyone who walks through its doors.
Requirements
- Minimum Age: 18
- 1–3 years of experience in maintenance, cleaning, or a related field
- Comfort using hand and power tools and cleaning chemicals (safely!)
- A team-player attitude with great communication and a heart for service
- New Hire Orientation training (Before start of 1st shift)
- CPR Pro/AED/FA (Within 30 days of hire)
Responsibilities
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members, staff, and guests
- Complete preventive maintenance and work orders (including light electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and furniture assembly)
- Support room setups and event transitions
- Walk the building, grounds, and parking lot to spot and address safety concerns
- Communicate supply needs and work closely with your supervisor and team
- Build positive relationships with members and fellow staff
