About The Position
This position involves working towards journeyman qualifications in various trades including electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, mechanical, general maintenance, and stationary engineering. The role includes assisting senior mechanics, participating in preventive maintenance inspections, promoting positive public relations, and performing other assigned duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year of appropriate experience.
- Able to perform assigned duties safely and efficiently.
- Good technical and manual skills.
- All applicants must be able to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Responsibilities
- Working toward journeyman’s qualifications in the electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, mechanical, general maintenance, or stationary engineering trade.
- Assists maintenance mechanic “A” in the completion of projects as outlined in work orders.
- Participates as member of preventive maintenance inspection team designating facilities renovation work to be scheduled for division.
- Promotes positive public relations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
