About The Position

This position involves working towards journeyman qualifications in various trades including electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, mechanical, general maintenance, and stationary engineering. The role includes assisting maintenance mechanic "A" with projects, participating in preventive maintenance inspections, and promoting positive public relations. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) year of appropriate experience.
• Able to perform assigned duties safely and efficiently.
• Good technical and manual skills.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Work toward journeyman’s qualifications in the electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, mechanical, general maintenance, or stationary engineering trade.
• Assist maintenance mechanic “A” in the completion of projects as outlined in work orders.
• Participate as a member of the preventive maintenance inspection team designating facilities renovation work to be scheduled for the division.
• Promote positive public relations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
