About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• Trade school training or approved apprenticeship program mandatory.
• Requires a minimum of two years’ experience as a Journeyman Electrician, Plumber, H.V.A.C, Mechanic, Ground Support, Maintenance and Machinist.
• Must be able to read and evaluate blueprints as related to applicable trade.
• Must possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license.
• CER License is required.

Responsibilities

• Responds to routine maintenance calls as required.
• Completes duties as assigned or by regular Preventive Maintenance, schedule within the scope of the General Maintenance shop.
• Returns incomplete work service requests to office with explanation for incompletion.
• Adheres to safe employee practices.
• Assists with training of the Apprentice Engineer.
• Lifts and moves tools and parts as related to applicable trade.
• Preparation of work area to include movement of furniture/obstructions.
• Keeps Lead informed of inventory of all materials and equipment necessary to perform job duties.
• Completes special assignments for management as requested.
