This position is responsible for assisting in engineering operations, including the maintenance and repair of hotel property, outside grounds, and hotel equipment. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • CPO, and appliance repair certification is desired, or the ability to obtain certification based on property needs.
  • 2+ years of maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Attention to detail, customer focused and the ability to perform job duties in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 100 pounds on a regular basis throughout shift.

Responsibilities

  • Learns and demonstrates the ability to maintain property assets, working with the Chief Engineer on preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, routine inspections, and capital expenditures, understanding the financial impact of asset maintenance.
  • Assists and responds to guest requests in a friendly and positive manner, providing the highest level of service with knowledge of hotel property, guest room repairs, and common area maintenance.
  • Assesses and evaluates property assets through preventative maintenance, working respectfully with appropriate managers to recommend maintenance service solutions.
  • Learns, understands, and executes all engineering Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with the Chief Engineer.
  • Works as a team player to meet guest needs and actively contributes to other departments when necessary, completing assigned duties inside or outside the normal scope of responsibilities.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area in compliance with company, brand, local, state, and federal regulations, using personal protective equipment when needed and following all procedures for guest/associate incidents.
  • Produces required volume of work by planning, organizing, and prioritizing duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer, adhering to attendance policies, general work rules, and department procedures, and attending all required meetings.
