About The Position
The 1880 Train is looking for a hands-on, self-motivated individual to join our team for the 2026 season as a General Maintenance Associate. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in keeping a property looking sharp and functioning well. You'll work across both our Hill City and Keystone depot locations, tackling a wide variety of light maintenance, cosmetic, and grounds tasks that keep our guest experience top-notch.
Requirements
- Some experience in general maintenance, landscaping, or a related trade
- Comfortable working independently and managing a task list
- Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Reliable transportation between Hill City and Keystone locations
- Good eye for detail - you'll notice what needs attention before being asked
Responsibilities
- Light painting (doors, trim, interior surfaces)
- Replacing and maintaining exterior and decorative lighting
- Gum removal and general surface cleaning
- Grounds upkeep - sweeping, blowing, and keeping common areas tidy
- Securing electrical covers, stapling cords, and minor fixture repairs
- Monitoring and reporting landscaping and irrigation issues
- Assembling, repairing, or replacing outdoor furniture and fixtures
- Assisting with trash and recycling bin management
- General property walkthroughs and punch list completion
