About The Position

As a general machinist, you must be proficient in the operation of manual and CNC controlled equipment. This role involves performing diversified work to close tolerances, determining feeds and speeds, and potentially assisting in the teardown and repair of your own machine. You may also be required to make ordinary tools, jigs, or fixtures as directed. The position requires the ability and willingness to operate any machine tool as necessary, acting as a temporary operator where needed, and shifting between machine tools during a work shift.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Technical degree/certificate in machinery or 4-5 years of related experience
18 years old at the time of hire to operate equipment
Proficient in the operation of manual and CNC controlled equipment
Proficient in making required setups
Proficient in reading of blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Proficient in utilization of close tolerance measuring instruments
Proficient in performing diversified work to close tolerances
Proficient in determining feeds and speeds
Ability and willingness to operate any machine tool as necessary

Nice To Haves

May be required to assist in teardown and repair of own machine
May be required to make some ordinary tools, jigs or fixtures as directed

Responsibilities
