General Machine Setup - 1st shift - 6am-3:30pm -M-F
About The Position
Operate automatic and manual milling machines, automatic and manual drill presses, punch presses, broaches, Kearney & Treckers and stamping machines, to machine pliers and hardware forgings and other parts. Obtain skids, trucks or carts of parts for machining; also obtain skids, trucks or carts for finished parts. Operate automatic and manual milling machines and drill presses, punch presses, broaches, Kearney- Treckers and stamping machines to produce quality parts. Operate multiple machines as required. Check oil and coolant levels at regular intervals, adding oil or coolant as required. Maintain accurate counts on all parts machined at various operating stations. Operator must blow out fixture before reloading during operation of any machine, clean metal chips from machine table and troughs. Clean chips from sumps as required. Monitor process to ensure finished products conform to established specifications. Maintain a clean work environment. Other duties as assigned by supervision.
Requirements
- Basic math and English Skills.
- Ability to read basic measuring instruments such as scales and fixed gauges.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Good hand eye coordination for loading and unloading of parts.
