Material Handler - 2nd shift - 6am-3:30pm - M-F
About The Position
As a Material Handler, you will perform miscellaneous supervised work having a direct or indirect relation to production. This role involves positioning materials in work areas, at machines, or workstations, and loading/unloading trucks, carts, skids, bins, or containers. You will also be responsible for cleaning machines and equipment, sweeping and cleaning work areas, and weighing or counting parts as required. The Material Handler will keep the supervisor informed about material transfers to ensure adequate supplies and perform assignments according to instructions and schedules. Maintaining a clean work environment and performing other duties as assigned by supervision are also key aspects of this role.
Requirements
- Basic math and English skills
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Responsibilities
- Positions materials in work areas, at machines, or workstations.
- Loads and unloads trucks, carts, skids, bins, or containers.
- Cleans machines and equipment, as required.
- Sweeps, cleans, and removes scrap from department work areas, aisles, storage areas, etc.
- Weighs or counts parts, as required.
- Keeps the supervisor advised on the transfer of materials to assure adequate supplies.
- Performs assignments in accordance with instructions and schedules.
- Maintains clean work environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervision.
