Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in general liability claims adjusting, with a focus on bodily injury claims.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and internet applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proper grammar and the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Highly attentive to detail and capable of exercising good judgment in sensitive situations.
  • Must be able to work Pacific Standard Time (PST) hours, regardless of location.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with small contractors (e.g., plumbers, electricians, painters, tree trimmers) is highly preferred.
  • Jurisdictional experience in California and an active California adjuster license are strongly preferred.
  • Background in Third-Party Administrator (TPA) claims management is preferred, though candidates with carrier experience will also be considered.
  • CPCU or other industry designations are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of 150 claims initially, with a typical caseload of 90-110 claims.
  • Handle 20-30 new cases per month, primarily involving small contractors such as plumbers, electricians, painters, and tree trimmers.
  • Investigate, evaluate, and resolve general liability claims, with a focus on bodily injury cases.
  • Ensure compliance with jurisdictional requirements, particularly in California.
  • Collaborate with team members and clients to deliver high-quality claims management services.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all claims activities.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries and provide clear, concise communication to all stakeholders.
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to assess claims and make informed decisions.
  • Work independently while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of productivity.
