General Ledger Accountant Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented General Ledger (GL) Accountant to join our corporate accounting team. You will manage daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and drive the month-end closing process. This role is collaborative and requires sharp analytical skills to support our business.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of progressive general ledger accounting experience.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Great Plains) and advanced Excel.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP principles and internal controls.
• High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Review and posting of daily transactional activity
• Execute month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently.
• Prepare and post accurate journal entries with proper documentation.
• Perform monthly bank, balance sheet, and intercompany account reconciliations.
• Analyze financial statement variances and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for external financial audits.
