About The Position

The Senior GL Accountant is responsible for managing core financial records; assisting in certain month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes; preparing complex journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations; and ensuring all business transactions follow US GAAP.

Requirements

• 3 to 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and translate insights into actionable improvements.
• Experience partnering with outsourced providers and external auditors.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Strong interest in process improvement, automation, machine learning, and analytics.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in Oracle Fusion Cloud preferable but not required.
• CPA and/or MBA preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform recurring accounting close activities with accountability for timely, accurate results.
• Help coordinate and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
• Support the month-end close processes, including the preparing and recording of various journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Assist in providing necessary support for audits.
• Partner effectively with team members and departments.
• Assist with other projects and activities as directed.
