About The Position

GFL Environmental is looking for a reliable and safety-focused Labourer to join our team in Abbotsford, BC. The successful candidate will support daily site operations in a physically demanding environment and must hold a valid class 5 Drivers License with an Air Brake Endorsement. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor work, teamwork, and is committed to safety.

Requirements

Valid Air Brake Endorsement
Valid Class 5 driver’s license (or higher) with a clean driving record
Physically fit and able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
Must have or be willing to obtain required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toe boots
Proficient in basic computer navigation
Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience in waste management, construction, or general labour is an asset
Forklift operator certification is considered a strong asset

Responsibilities

Perform general labour tasks such as site cleanup, litter control, and minor site maintenance
Assist heavy equipment operators and drivers with daily tasks
Move or position trucks and equipment that require an air brake endorsement
Direct traffic and safely guide vehicles on-site
Maintain tools and clean work areas and equipment
Follow all safety procedures and site protocols
Work outdoors in all weather conditions
