About The Position
NorthWest Wood Treaters LP, operating as Doman Treating, is seeking a General Labourer to join their team. This role involves wrapping, banding, labeling, counting, and identifying lumber using various lumber handling equipment. The position is permanent and full-time, located in Prince George, BC.
Requirements
- Attention to detail.
- Able to count and identify various lumber products.
- Must have own steel-toed boots.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds or 23 kilograms.
- Bending, lifting, and reaching during course of shift.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
- Must have own reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in a lumber mill or lumber yard is desirable.
- Forklift certification is an asset.
- Level Three First Aid is an asset.
- Background in Forestry, Wood Processing is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Operates lumber handling equipment at various wood stacking machinery.
- Apply barcode on lumber.
- Bands and wraps lumber.
- Occasionally hand piles wood.
- Services production machines.
- Maintains a clean and organized yard.
- Adheres to all work safety rules and regulations.
- Adheres to customer service commitments.
