About The Position

We are currently recruiting for a General Labourer (Non-Ferrous Receiver) for our North Bay location. You will be responsible for receiving, sorting and organizing materials, assisting customers on site, operating equipment as required and supporting the general maintenance and day-to-day operations of the yard. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with rotating Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Requirements

• Good computer skills
• Previous experience operating a crane/forklift
• Previous experience in metal recycling or an industrial environment
• Comfortable working indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions
• Physically fit and able to perform repetitive lifting up to 50lbs
• Able to work well in a team and on your own

Responsibilities

• Receiving, sorting and organizing different types of non-ferrous metals.
• Covering the scale and weighing trucks as required using the RECY system to accurately track incoming materials.
• Performing general maintenance of the site and yard.
• Ensuring equipment is maintained and kept in good working condition.
• Providing excellent customer service to clients on site.
• Operating a forklift as required.
• Working with a strong safety-first mindset and following all safety procedures.

Benefits

• Hourly pay for this position is to start at CAD25.75 /hr, plus overtime after 44 hours
