Requirements

  • Experience working in the construction industry.
  • Experience with operating forklifts, telehandler, skid steer, and other small machinery is required.
  • Reliable and has a strong work ethic.
  • Basic understanding of construction procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris, setting up barricades, and ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
  • Handle basic tools and equipment for site preparation, such as shovels, wheelbarrows, and rakes.
  • Transport and handle construction materials safely and efficiently.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of materials, ensuring proper storage and organization on-site.
  • Operate basic construction equipment with limited supervision, including but not limited to forklifts, telehandler, skid steer, and other small machinery.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Collaborate with solar installation teams to facilitate the assembly and installation of solar panels and related infrastructure.
  • Help with the positioning and securing of solar components.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly to the site supervisor.
  • Work closely with fellow team members and follow instructions from supervisors to meet project deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure smooth coordination with various construction teams.
