About The Position

Da-Lee Group is seeking a dependable, hard-working, and safety-focused Labourer to join our team on a fixed-term contract beginning in late August 2026 through mid-December 2026, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements and business needs. This position will support a significant client project and play an important role in ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. Reporting directly to the Industrial Supervisor, the successful candidate will work in an industrial environment supporting a variety of labour-intensive tasks while maintaining strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 lbs or more.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in an industrial environment around equipment, machinery, dust, and varying weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, irregular hours, or weekends based on project requirements.
  • Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), company policies, and client-specific safety requirements.
  • Actively participate in safety training, orientations, and ongoing safety initiatives.
  • Use required PPE, including safety boots, hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and other equipment as required.
  • Follow safe lifting practices and material handling procedures.
  • Immediately stop work when unsafe conditions are identified and notify supervision.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to protecting the environment through responsible handling of materials and waste.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience performing physical labour in an industrial, construction, manufacturing, or related environment is considered an asset.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are considered assets.

Responsibilities

  • Safely dismantle and process client products, equipment, or materials in accordance with project requirements.
  • Follow all company, client, and regulatory health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Wear and properly maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Participate in daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and hazard assessments.
  • Report hazards, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions immediately to supervision.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area through effective housekeeping practices.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, sorting, moving, and handling materials as required.
  • Operate hand tools and equipment safely and responsibly after receiving appropriate training.
  • Work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments, including changing weather and temperature conditions.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Perform general labour and other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
