Sundre is currently recruiting for a Casual General Labourer. This role involves working in a variety of areas within the sawmill, handling materials, operating production equipment, and assisting other workers. A strong commitment to safety and the ability to perform repetitive tasks are essential. Requirements
- Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Availability on Friday and Saturday day shifts
- Good physical condition
- Ability to work repetitive tasks
- Ability to work as a positive team member
- Strong commitment to follow all safety guidelines and protocols, wearing the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and taking precautions to maintain a safe work environment.
- Reliable and Excellent work ethic
- Desire to learn, grow and succeed
- No experience required
Responsibilities
- Work in a variety of areas which may include sorting, stacking, and piling lumber
- Handling and lifting materials
- Operate production equipment as assigned
- Assist other processing workers
- Assist with the routine maintenance and cleaning of the sawmill equipment, ensuring their proper functioning and promptly reporting any malfunctions or issues to the team.
- Other general labourer responsibilities
- Repetitive tasks
- Strict adherence to company safety standards and follow Safe work practices such as Lock-out, pre-task hazard assessments, etc.
- Standing for extended periods
