About The Position

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a Ferrous Receiver with experience for their Hamilton location. This role involves general maintenance of the premises and receiving, sorting, and organizing ferrous metals. The position reports to the Site Manager.

Requirements

• Good Computer Skills
• Ability to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions
• Good physical fitness
• Ability to work as a team

Nice To Haves

• Experience in operating a crane
• Experience in metal recycling considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort and organize different types of ferrous metals
• Cover the scale and weigh in trucks when required using the RECY system to properly weigh and track the material
• Do general maintenance of the premises
• Ensure the equipment in good condition
• Provide excellent customer service to clients on site
• Operate the Fork lift as required
• Work with a safety oriented mindset
