Requirements
- Knowledge of standard measuring equipment (tape measures etc.).
- Skill in reading specific work instructions for a made-to-order product.
- The ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Capability to perform repetitive lifting/bending/stretching in a hot/humid/dusty environment.
- Previous hands-on experience in using overhead and jib cranes as well as typical material handling equipment (e.g., pallet trucks).
- Sense of urgency and capable of working in a time-sensitive environment.
- Team-oriented perspective, adaptability, and the capability of working independently.
Responsibilities
- Assembling and building crates for our assembled pumps and motors and prepare for outbound shipping.
- Loading and unloading tools or raw materials.
- Assembling scaffolding or other pieces of equipment.
- Operating compressors and other small power equipment such as drills and band saws.
- Bolt, screw, clip, or otherwise fasten parts and components together using hand and power tools and equipment.
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety and housekeeping practices, and use of personal protective equipment.
- Following all company policies as described in the employee handbook.
- Support the production by removing waste as a daily routine.
- Assist machine operators, assemblers and other workers.
- Mark, record, and report defects.
- Clean work areas and equipment.
- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- All other duties as may be assigned
