About The Position

Alleguard is a leader in the Protective Packaging Industry, dedicated to expanding and shaping customer businesses across various sectors including construction, protective packaging, and cold-chain. The company is seeking a General Laborer to support production and repack operations by physically moving products required for the drying/curing room. This role involves reading work orders, recording production data, packing and labeling items, securing packages, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment in compliance with all safety and environmental policies.

Requirements

• Hardworking and enthusiastic
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Able to manage and set priorities in a changing environment.
• High degree of self-motivation and flexibility.
• Analytical and structured work approach.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.
• Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
• Pack materials and products for shipment or storage according to company standards and customer requirements.
• Label items accurately and clearly in accordance with shipping and inventory guidelines.
• Strap, wrap, or secure packages and pallets to ensure safe transport and storage.
• Clean equipment, work areas, and general facility space to maintain a safe and organized environment.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area.
• Perform duties in compliance with all safety policies and practices.
• Compliance with legal environmental and safety requirements of the area.
• Know the environmental aspects of the area and its control.
• Know the environmental impacts associated with their activities.
• Follow all Environmental and Safety policies.
• Comply with procedures, regulations, and instructions of environmental and safety programs.
• Other duties as assigned.
