About The Position

General Service for the Weld department is responsible for supporting the operation of robotic and semi-automated welding equipment in an automotive manufacturing environment. This position includes loading and unloading parts, monitoring equipment operation, performing basic inspections, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. This position is for 2nd shift, 3pm-11pm.

Requirements

Ability to perform repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods.
Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs. and working in a manufacturing environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious.
Familiarity with basic welding processes or robotic machinery.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Willingness to learn and grow into more technical roles over time.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
No prior experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Load raw materials or components into automated weld fixtures or robotic weld cells.
Unload finished welded parts and place them in designated containers or racks.
Visually inspect welds for basic quality issues such as missing welds, burn-through, or misalignment.
Monitor weld cell operations and alert the supervisor or maintenance team of any malfunctions or abnormalities.
Clean weld spatter and perform minor maintenance or touch-ups on fixtures as directed.
Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in line with 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
Assist in the changeover of tools, fixtures, or materials as needed.
Record basic production or inspection data as required.
